Atom Z2580 first CPU to be Manufactured on Intel's 14nm Technology [Rumor]

An interesting rumor came about recently regarding Intel's intent to make an LTE-enabled smartphone/tablet processor which will be using their new 14nm technology. The processor which is called the Intel Atom Z2580, is a result of Intel focusing more on the mobile aspect of the industry since the sale of smartphones recently surpassed that of PCs. The Medfield chip which is their most recent effort is on par with current processors in the market performance-wise but according to several reports, it seems to lack in power per watt ratio. This is exactly what Intel wants to remedy with its new 14nm tri-gate technology.
