New iPad mini mockup provides the closest look yet at Apple's next ‘magical' tablet

. At this point, the iPad mini will not be a surprise when Apple (AAPL) announces it. As was the case with the iPhone 5, the iPad mini has been slowly leaked out and rendered by 3D artists on an almost daily basis. We know that the tablet will sport a 7.85-inch display with a 1024 x 768 resolution, a front and rear camera, a narrower bezel and it will likely come in two finishes: anodized black and white. It'll also have 3G connectivity and maybe even 4G LTE. The blurry shots and renders that have leaked only point to the fact that the iPad mini is real and it's coming along.
