If you're old enough to remember the gas shortages of the 1970s, then you probably remember the long lines to get fuel. If you aren't old enough and you'd like to experience those lines for yourself, head to New England. A massive October snowfall has left many without power, including gas stations. That means that those gas stations that still have power are getting swamped, and tanker trucks aren't getting through because of the weather. Add it all up, and you have the makings of a small crisis.
WTNH talked to Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy, who surveyed the devastation via helicopter.

Track your food and share the pictures. Just like Twitter, only people actually care. You know how people are always posting pictures of their meals on Twitter. Well, now there's a (proper) app for that. It's called Eatery, and it's like a cross between Foursquare and Instagram, for food.

There are other apps for tracking your calorie intake, and that's not really what Eatery is for. It works like this: You snap a photo of your latest snack, dinner or drink and rate its healthiness by dragging a slider. Zero stars for a deep-fried Mars Bar and 11 stars for a plate of celery, for instance.

And that's it.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 spotted in the wild again, close to launch?

We saw the reveal of three new BlackBerries to AT&T's lineup today(Bold 9900, Torch 9860, and Curve 9360). We have some more BlackBerry news for readers today regarding the Bold 9790. We first saw the Bold 9790 back in September where it was compared to its big brother, the Bold 9900. We have spotted more leaked photos of the device today, which is rumored to be released late November.
Specs wise, the Bold 9790 is nearly identical to the Bold 9900 with the exception of it being smaller.

Apple to roll out EasyTheft system

Apple has plans to deliver a new system (Ship to Store) in all regions from Thursday onwards, where it will basically enable a customer to place an order for a product on Apple's online store, followed by picking it up within the hour at their local Apple Store. Seems to be a very decent representation of “just-in-time” delivery, and Apple fans will endear themselves even more to the fruity company. Internally, this new system was known as "EasyTheft", which is based off a pun of Apple's "EasyPay" system.

All joking aside, GameChanger is actually pretty neat. It's a combination iPad dock and playing board that isn't limited to a single game. The Apple slate becomes an integral part of play, where you spin a virtual wheel to determine how many spots to move while the app tracks your progress. Nexus S Experiments Continue Aboard The International Space Station

Looks like those Nexus S’s that were taken up into space are still going strong. In an update that was posted on NASA’s International Space Station page, it appears the experiments using the free-flying SPHERES and the Nexus S continued today as the Expedition 29 crew, who are currently calling the International Space Station home, prepares to dock with an unpiloted Russian cargo ship.
