It looks like Motorola's accidental Moto G slip-up last week has caused the company to throw caution to the wind and confirm that the device exists (we already heard that much in a trademark filing a couple of weeks ago). They did just that with a save-the-date teaser going out to press this morning, with November 13th said to be the day that we see this new smartphone unveiled.

New York may raise maximum speed limit to 75 mph

Drivers in the state of New York may be able to pick up the pace on the Empire State's roads if a bill from freshman Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda gets passed. Sepulveda submitted a bill that would see speed limits raised from 65 to 75 miles per hour, statewide. New York would join 16, mostly Western, states in setting its freeway speeds above 70 miles per hour, and it would be the 35th state to kick its speed limit up to 70 mph since 1995, when the national speed limit was repealed.

Fiat 500L production halted in Serbia

News is trickling out of the Serbian factory that's responsible for Fiat 500L production that work has stopped due to a delay in parts delivery. Fiat has been mum on the reasoning for the stoppage, which is going on its tenth day, according to Automotive News. "Production ceased on Wednesday and we still don't know when it will resume," said a spokesperson for Fiat's Serbian operations. While Fiat isn't saying what the issue is, AN is reporting a number of workers for a local transport company are protesting over unpaid wages.

Speaking to Cadillac's global sales boss, Bob Ferguson, a successful ELR will likely lead to a larger, even more upscale offering than the Volt-based two-door. "I could certainly see a larger vehicle, something even more luxurious," Ferguson said of a potential second, battery-powered Caddy. That car would likely boast a more potent version of the Voltec powertrain that motivates the Volt and ELR.
