Samsung Galaxy Gear Now Compatible With Galaxy S4, S3 And Note 2

Samsung Galaxy Gear Now Compatible With Galaxy S4, S3 And Note 2

The Samsung Galaxy Gear has understandably received mixed reviews among the majority of the tech world, but what didn't help is the device was only limited to be used along with the Galaxy Note 3. This left many who already owned a Samsung device out in the cold, but the company has apparently opened the doors for its Galaxy Gear to be compatible with a number of previously released Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Note 2.

BBM For iOS And Android Hits 10 Million Mark In 24 Hours

BBM For iOS And Android Hits 10 Million Mark In 24 Hours

Just yesterday BlackBerry revealed that BBM for iOS and Android had been downloaded about 5 million times in a matter of hours since it was re-released to the public. Well it looks like in 24 hours, BlackBerry has managed to double that amount as BlackBerry has recently announced that the app had managed to see 10 million downloads to date. Of course this hardly means that there are 10 million iOS and Android users out there sending each other text messages via BBM, but rather it's merely an indication of how many times the app has been downloaded. As it stands there is a queue if you wish to use BBM for iOS and Android.

Nokia Lumia 1520 Will Be An AT&T Exclusive

Nokia Lumia 1520 Will Be An AT&T Exclusive

If you were planning on picking up the Nokia Lumia 1520, it should be noted that the handset appears to be an AT&T exclusive. We're not sure if this will be exclusive indefinitely or if other carriers will soon start to offer up the Lumia 1520 or at least a variant of it, but for now customers will have to go through AT&T to get their hands on the device, or perhaps turn to grey market imports if you want to use it on a different carrier.

T-Mobile's Android 4.3 update for HTC One slightly delayed

For those following the Android 4.3 update saga for the HTC One, we know that both AT&T and Sprint have pushed out updates to their customers, with T-Mobile and Verizon still waiting in the wings. When we last left you, HTC's US President Jason Mackenzie updated us on the T-Mobile situation, telling us to expect in 4.3 to hit devices over next few days. Well, a few days has passed, and after inquiries as to what happened, Mackenzie let one Twitter user know the update has been delayed. It's now looking like it Android 4.3 will begin pushing out on Monday, October 21st.

Oyster is an unlimited book reading app

Oyster is an unlimited book reading app

I like reading books, but I only read on my iPad mini now.  Actually, I've exclusively read on electronic devices since I got my Handspring Visor Deluxe way back in the late 1990s.  I've always been one to buy my books instead of borrowing them from the library, but that habit has left me with a lot of books (both paper and eBooks) that I don't have room for and never intend to read again.  And of course, the price of eBooks jumped because of the price-fixing debacle and have never really come back down.

Hold your tablet with TwoHands II

Hold your tablet with TwoHands II

Felix came onto the scene with the MonkeyDo tablet holder, which looked as if a monkey was holding your tablet for you.  It was cute and functional, but it didn't really fold up nicely to take along in your gear bag.  The TwoHands  holders do; they look a little bit like a giant clothes pin.  The redesigned TwoHands II holders will hold most tablets (up to 10.5″ X 3x8″ thick) and eBook readers.  You just pinch open the clip, fasten it to the tablet, then slide the clip to find the most comfortable viewing angle.
