Cell phones with split keyboards have become a rarity since the uniquely-designed Nokia 6820 entered the market seven or so years ago. LG decides to bank on that untapped consumer interest for smartphones with that novel form factor, if there is any. Lucky Goldstar officially announced the DoublePlay that runs on Android 2.3 and comes with dual touchscreens as well as a split QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone features a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 5-megapixel rear camera with 720p HD video recording.
The touchscreens consist of a 3.5-inch display on top, which slides out to reveal a 2-inch internal screen.
