Motorola files patent for smartwatch with multiple displays, knows when you're looking at it

The growing wearable computing trend doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon. Motorola and Sony both took early stabs with smartwatch-like devices, but both failed to reach mainstream success for the companies. Doesn't look like that's about to stop Motorola. Today, a newly published Motorola patent may reveal the company's interest in yet another smartwatch device.

Today, we're hearing of yet another bundle for the PlayStation 4, but this one made its way to becoming listed on Amazon France.

Leaked images of Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) dummy units give us our clearest look at the device yet

Sony's had a hard time keeping the Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami) under wraps. A supercharged refresh to the original Sony Xperia Z that launched only earlier this year, the device has been leaked more times than we can even count. More recently, Sony's been gearing up for the device's official unveiling (set for next week), teasing the device on the usual social networks by showing off tightly cropped images of the device's camera and buttons. There was even a very sexy teaser video uploaded to Sony's YouTube channel, which you can find below.

Nokia Teases HERE Announcement For Vehicles

Nokia Teases HERE Announcement For Vehicles

Nokia might be known as a manufacturer of phones, but they also dabble in other businesses as well, such as providing location services based on their HERE platform that provides maps, driving information, and even transit information for those taking public transportation. In a recent blog post by Nokia Conversations, it looks like the Finnish company might have something to announce tomorrow that could be car-related, as the photo above seems to suggest.

Real Racing 3 Makes Its Way Onto BlackBerry 10

Choosing a smartphone platform has many considerations, such as popularity, ease of use, and how many apps it has, just to name a few requirements users might have. While having plenty of apps is certainly a good thing, having quality apps is just as important as well. After all what's the point of having thousands of apps if you've never heard of any of them before, right. Well the good news for BlackBerry 10 users is that it looks like another popular app has made its way onto the platform and it is in the form of EA's Real Racing 3.

As we near Samsung's official Galaxy Note 3 unveiling event set for Sept 4th in Berlin, more leaks of the device have begun coming out of the woodwork. First up, the actual display/digitizer of the device has been pictured from 3rd party parts supplier ETrade Supply, giving us a good look at, not only the shape of the upcoming phablet, but also a quick comparison with the previous Galaxy Note 2. You'll notice a much more rectangular shape this time around, while the Note 3 still very much falls in line with Samsung's current Galaxy design cues.

The Ouya launched at retail this past June and the Android-powered console immediately sold out at both Amazon and GameStop. While the world was going nuts over the Ouya, a smaller Android-powered console, called GameStick, was announced to give those who are looking for their Android-gaming fix while on the go the ability to do so. GameStick recently went through a number of delays, but it's now expected to start shipping in September.

Volvo is calling the Concept Coupe its "next-generation P1800.". Up front, T-shaped running lights bracket what the brand calls a "floating grille" with a "distinctive iron mark." The side profile is dominated by a distinct bow that can be seen, in a slightly more mellow form, on current Volvo vehicles, and the broad-shouldered rear end is bracketed by slender C-shaped taillight clusters. The interior, too, is unique. A handcrafted crystal gearshift lever is a highlight, as is a large touchscreen laid out in portrait (as opposed to landscape).

Man Turns The Tables On Telemarketers, Gets Paid When They Call Him

We're sure everyone hates being cold called as much as the next person, after all most of the time it's for products or services we really don't need. Well a man in the UK by the name of Lee Beaumont has decided to turn the tables on telemarketers by getting himself a premium-rate phone number in which he actually ends up making money from cold calls. This started back in 2011 when he paid £10 to setup a personal premium-rate line, and what this means is that if you were to call him, it would cost you 10p from which Beaumont would then receive 7p.

It was reported yesterday that Xbox One launch supplies might be constrained due to poor yield rates of a few components. Microsoft has already reduced Xbox One launch markets to meet demand, yesterday's report seemed to make sense because of that. However, a few “supply chain players” have rubbished the rumor, claiming that the shipment forecast for Microsoft's latest console has not been reduced. This report comes from infamous trade publication Digitimes. Lite-On IT, which reportedly supplies Xbox One's Blu-ray drive, said that it doesn't comment on clients or orders, but said that its optimistic about its gaming business.

There's an ultra-rare Ford Thunderbird for sale on eBay, although it's not quite the T-Bird you're probably thinking. Volvo dealers pushing for V40 in America

Not too long ago, Volvo effectively replaced three models with one. Those were the C30, S40 and V50, and their replacement came in the form of the V40. While its predecessors were available (at some point, anyway) in North America, the V40 isn't. And that's something that Volvo's players in the US would like to change.
According to Automotive News, both Volvo Cars of North America and its dealers are pressing the factory to reverse its decision and prepare the V40 for an American assault on the likes of the Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3.

Rage Comet R is a supercar for the road, dirt and sky

In a perfect world, every vehicle would do everything well. In reality, the Ford SVT Raptor will tear up desert landscapes like no other production truck, but it will also struggle to grip the tarmac at a racetrack. In the same vein, it would be foolish to take a Porsche 911 GT3 dune jumping. The folks at Rage beg to differ and made a vehicle that they claim is as good on a racetrack as it is off-road: the Comet R (R200RT).
XCAR recently drove the Comet R to see if it really is the dual-nature beast Rage claims it is, and it didn't disappoint. First off, it's fast.

HTC Mini+ appears on HTC's site - a big phone accessory that comes with NFC, laser pointer, and IR blaster

It was a few months ago that the HTC J Butterfly launched in China and with that, came the HTC Mini. Not to be confused with the HTC One Mini, the HTC Mini was a companion device for larger handsets that essentially acts as a Bluetooth handset/remote control for making quick calls, without having to commit to pulling out your smartphone to handle the once complicated task (sarcasm). More recently, we saw a revamped version of the accessory arrive in the UK in the form of the HTC Mini+, adding an IR blaster and universal remote functions, on top of a laser pointer and tiny 1.5-inch 128×128 resolution OLED display.

Asphalt 8 review: the good and bad of Gameloft, all rolled into one

First things first, this post was supposed to be ready on Sunday. I had the perfect plan: a lazy weekend spent doing nothing but playing video games, enjoy one of the few days of good weather here in New Delhi, and pig out on some decent, unhealthy fast food. It has been far too long since I did something purely out of self-interest like that. Thanks, Gameloft. You ruined it.

The Good

Fact is, I really wanted to play Asphalt 8. Most Gameloft games just suck, but they usually manage to do a decent job with the Asphalt franchise.

Before Xiaomi appeared on the market, Meizu was China's only smartphone maker with a cult-like following. It was often referred to as China's Apple. It sold premium products for premium prices, and built up incredibly good brand recognition over the years. This has been helped in no small part by its numerous stores in the country.
Now though, things are very different. Meizu is no longer the tech darling of Chinese consumers. Xiaomi is. It's Xiaomi that's now breaking sales records with its new smartphones. That's because Xiaomi is basically offering the same promise of quality as Meizu, but with much lower prices.
