Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear hit the AT&T stores on October 4

AT&T has just announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet and the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch will become available for purchase on the AT&T website and throughout the AT&T brick and mortar stores on October 4. The pre-order campaign for the two devices has been going for a while now, but it concludes today with actual Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear shipments starting tomorrow. It appears that AT&T will need three days to finish handling the pre-orders before it's ready to start selling the Samsung duo.
The Galaxy Note 3 phablet costs $299.99 with a two-year AT&T contract, or $35 per month with the AT&T's Next program.

iPhone 5s In-Store Pick Up Service Is Back

iPhone 5s In-Store Pick Up Service Is Back

We reported last week that Apple might bring back the in-store pick up service for iPhone 5s this week. Indeed it has. Starting today, the personal pick up option is now available to customers who wish to purchase Apple's latest smartphone. To use this service, customers must make the purchase through the App Store app for iOS devices or through the Apple online store. They'll then be given the option to select an Apple Store closest to their location from where they can go and personally pick up their new iPhone. Its as simple as that.

When the iPhone 5s was first launched, the in-store pick up service was offered.

Honda previews next-gen JDM Odyssey minivan

Some automakers market the same cars around the world, while others offer different models – even under the same nameplate – for different markets. We're thinking of cars like the Volkswagen Passat or the previous Mazda6. Honda's been known to do so as well, with models like the Accord and Odyssey, which are completely different in North America than they are in other parts of the world. Now Honda has provided the first glimpse at the Odyssey minivan it offers for the Japanese Domestic Market (as well as Europe and other parts of the world).

As we get closer and closer to the inevitable release date for the upcoming LG Nexus 5, more leaks and juicy tidbits of information are beginning to show up around the web. Previously, we showed you a leaked screenshot from an updated Google Keyboard on the Google Play Store depicting white status bar icons, which Google ended up removing. Nothing says confirmed like deleting a screenshot or a published YouTube video. This time we have for you an alleged screenshot that goes along with previous leaks and an accompanying bug report for good measure.
As you can see below, the same white and grey status bar icons are shown once again.

Microsoft Highlights Start Button Return In First Windows 8.1 Ad

It was first discovered last year that Microsoft was going to remove the traditional Start button in Windows 8, Windows 8 Consumer Preview version which was released back in 2012 did not come with the aforementioned button. It wouldn't be an understatement to say that the Start button and menu were iconic, they have been around in every single Windows version ever since they debuted with Windows 95 some 15 years ago. After hearing feedback from customers, Microsoft decided earlier this year to bring back the Start button in Windows 8.1. The first ad for the upcoming Windows update highlights the Start button's return.

Dodge to resurrect Scat Pack?

Dodge to resurrect Scat Pack?

Before social media ever existed, if automotive enthusiasts wanted to be noticed or recognize other fans, they joined a car club. For Dodge muscle car lovers from 1968 through 1971, that group was known as the Scat Pack. Just like the Charger, Challenger and Dart nameplates, it looks like the Scat Pack could be getting a resurrection by Chrysler. Automotive News is reporting that Chrysler recently renewed its trademark on the Scat Pack name, and while this is in no way a guarantee that the name will return, AN talked to Tim Kuniskis, Dodge President and CEO, who stoked the fire a little more.

BlackBerry reports loss of $965 million in fiscal Q2

It's no secret that BlackBerry isn't doing too well, but no one knew just how bad until the company's just-released fiscal Q2 report. It highlights a whopping $935 million loss on the BlackBerry Z10. The "Z10 inventory charge," a clever way to say that the device simply isn't selling, is enough to almost wipe out the listed $1.6 billion revenue. When combined with the corporate restructuring losses, the company posted an overall loss of some $965 million.

The Canadian-based company has struggled to post a profit since it dropped the RIM name and released its anticipated BB10 OS update.

Apple Patent Wants To Bring Autographs To Ebooks

With the creation of eBooks and its readers and apps, the need to go out to a bookstore and purchase a physical copy of a book is no longer necessary. Personally I prefer holding a physical book over a tablet any day, but that's just personal preference. However authors are still doing book signing tours and we suppose getting a book signed is less expensive than having your tablet signed, right. Well it seems that Apple might have thought about that and a patent discovered by Apple Insider has revealed that the Cupertino company might have thought up a solution to that.

UAW tactics called into question at VW's TN plant

The United Auto Workers is in hot water with some of the very workers it is trying to unionize at Volkswagen's Chattanooga assembly plant. According to The Tennessean, eight Volkswagen factory workers have filed complaints against the UAW with the National Labor Relations Board, claiming the union "misled or coerced" them into formally asking for union representation. The UAW has instituted a major push at the Chattanooga plant to represent the 2,500 hourly laborers that build the VW Passat by using what's called a card-check process.

The HTC One Max leaks once again, this time from an official source. China's Tenaa, the country's equivalent of the FCC brings four new photos and an update on the dual-SIM situation. An earlier leak showed what's under the back cover of the One Max and there wasnÂ't an obvious second SIM slot. However, the Tenaa page describes the phone (as far as the machine translation tells us) as: "the equipment for the dual card dual standby mobile phone dual-pass."

The HTC One Max model is listed as 809d and supports GSM/GPRS and CDMA 1x/CDMA2000 (Rev. A).

Lamborghini Cabrera 'Ring session caught on video

While our spy photographers were getting shots of the Lamborghini Gallardo replacement, said to be called "Cabrera," at the Nürburgring, there were other spotters lurking who caught the thing on video. It could just be the audio captured by the camera mic, but to our ears the exhaust sounds deeper and more burbly than that on the current car. One audio cue that can't be missed, however, is the speed of the gearchanges; think dual-clutch. The reworked 5.2-liter V10 sitting behind the cockpit is expected to put out around 600 horsepower, sent either to all four wheels or just the rears depending on customer preference.

We think it's safe to say hashtags has taken over pretty much all of social networking as any network worth its salt supports hashtags, with Facebook even getting in on the hashtag love. But if you read someone's update who uses a hashtag out loud, the concept of hashtags seems a little silly, especially if you're the kind of person to use hashtags in real world conversations. Jimmy Fallon showed just how silly this trend can be as he had a casual conversation with his friend, Justin Timberlake. Both Fallon and Timberlake hold a regular discussion talking about cookies, their latest favorite shows and what their plans are for Halloween.

The Moto X from T-Mobile received a camera update that is said to have improved the smartphone's camera capability, and this has led to the question as to whether all of the other carriers who happen to have the Moto X on offer for the masses, too, will be able to push out a similar camera update. After all, it is definitely no fun being left behind when all of your buddies have the latest firmware or software version, right. Just ask those iPhone owners who have eligible smartphones but have yet to make the jump to iOS 7, and you will have a pretty good idea on how such frustration can pan out.
