Electric vehicles and hybrids have been getting quite a bad rep for the wrong reasons. There is the misconception that electric vehicles and their hybrid counterparts are less powerful than their fuel powered siblings which is something that was true in the past with the first few EV's that were put out. Popular among male car enthusiasts is that driving an electric car or a hybrid would be considered “girly” which was pointed out several times in various cartoons and comedies.
