AT&T's budget LG Escape launches September 16th for $50

AT&T (T) fans will soon have a shiny new LG (003550) smartphone option to choose from, as AT&T today announced on Monday it will be offering the new LG Escape for just $50 with a two-year service agreement starting September 16th. Despite being a low-cost smartphone, the Escape's specs are pretty solid: a 4.3-inch qHD IPS display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, NFC and LTE connectivity and a 2,150mAh battery are all part of the package.
