The world's top consumer electronics companies today are spending billions of dollars in R&D to come up with the “next big thing.” But in the end, it's all about profitability and sales. Cupertino-based Apple is doing very good so far. They've created wonderful products lately, and they've done a pretty good job of selling their products as well. This puts a huge strain on the backs of the original device manufacturers since they are the ones who will ensure that the supplies are enough to meet the demand.
