Research in Motion is bringing the PlayBook to Australia beginning June 20th. The tablet will be carried by Vodafone, Optus and Telstra and will come with a price tag of $579 for the WiFi 16GB model, the same as the Apple iPad 2. The device comes with dual front and rear facing cameras, a 1 GHz dual-core processor and 1080p HD video recording capabilities. There are 32GB and 64GB versions available, but it doesn't have inbuilt 3G.
