They won't replace handcuffs, but they will tie cables like a cable tie. Everyone love zip-ties. And I mean everyone. For kidnappers and serial killers through cops and soldiers to cowboy repairmen like me, the humble zip-tie (or cable tie) can restrain or fix pretty much anything. Couple it with duct tape and a hammer and you're pretty much ready for whatever the world will throw at you.
Unfortunately, most zip-ties aren't reusable. I remember using some with a small catch to release the teeth, but that was years ago and I haven't seen them since. Fortunately, there's an alternative: the Q Knot Reusable Rubber Tie from UTWire.
