Sony patent reveals plans for wireless medical wristband

Sony patent reveals plans for wireless medical wristband

Hospitals have displays and monitors that shows a patient's heart rate and vitals. Perhaps looking to cut down the amount of wires strapped to a patient, or for those at home who are simply curious, a recently discovered patent filed by Sony back in 2010 revealed that the company was looking at creating a wireless wristband that not only monitors the wearer's heart rate, but their vitals along with blood glucose levels. Taking that information, the wristband would then be able to send that information over onto your TV via infrared and will keep updating itself in real-time. Is it a little odd that Sony is considering making medical devices.
