Aakash tablet could be making its way to under-served Philadelphia schools

Aakash tablet could be making its way to under-served Philadelphia schools

Remember the $35 budget Aakash tablet from India. Well it looks like there are plans to bring the tablet out of India and into the US. It seems that its manufacturer, DataWind is in talks with Wilco Electronics and presumably Philadelphia officials about the possibility of bringing the tablet into the US for use in under-served schools in Philadelphia. No word on what they plan to do with it, but assuming the upgraded Aakash tablet will be keeping to its $35 price range, it would most definitely be a cheaper alternative to other tablets like the iPad out there.

Ubergizmo, Aakash tablet could be making its way to under-served Philadelphia schools
