Before you act all surprised, know that apparently it was a ‘limited edition' all along. That's right, such a common color was deemed something special by LG and Google. Special enough that there seems to have been only a limited production run for it.
And now it's sold out. And that's the end of it. Google has confirmed this to Android Police.
