When the ASUS Transformer Prime was released, users discovered that the bootloader of the device was locked. What this means for those unfamiliar is that customization and running tweaked software would be a near-impossible task, and it was a move that the mod-heavy Android community was definitely not a fan of. Well the good news for ASUS Transformer Prime owners is that according to a tweet by ASUS, a "root tool" for the tablet is expected some time in February. Although in a quick glance it does seem like good news, but the term "root tool" without reference to the bootloader specifically might be cause for some concern.
