Supermoon Light Up Night Sky

Supermoon Light Up Night Sky

A supermoon will occur when the moon is slightly closer to Earth than it typically is. NASA has reported the Supermoon peaks at exactly 6:32 a.m. CT Sunday, and the moon will be 1% larger and 30% brighter than the run-of-the-mill full moon. The moon will pass within about 221,000 miles from the Earth this Saturday night compared with its typical distance of about 238,000 miles.
