The global roll-out of the updated Android Market app is underway, and if you're impatient it's possible to manually install the file and give it a try right now. So we did just that. At the moment we're using the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, which manages the new Android Market experience perfectly well. Here's what you'll get on your phone rather soon.
The update makes space for the “Apps” channel as customised by Vodafone and Sony Ericsson recently, with a little gap left for it on the main screen. See where it says “Sony Ericsson”? That's the custom channel.
And it runs very nicely.
